| My mom and her mom, Mernie |

|
My mom, Su, just finished her work on National Boards-CONGRATULATIONS! This
is the highest level of certification for teacher. In and out of school, Mom is an artist. She's also a reader and uses
her writing skills as an advocate for people with disabilities and children with special educational needs.

My Mernie and Paw (Hester and Carl)
And now introducing....my Mernie and Paw! On my road to Athens, they gathered countless fans in Northern Kentucky keeping
up with every roll (that's wheeler for step) of the way. We keep in touch through letters and our own version of conference
calls where I get to talk to them both at once! I'll get to see them soon and can't wait-neither can their great-grand-dog
Bailey! Paw has taught me a great a deal about politics, animals, people, and life. Even though we are a few years apart,
my Mernie is more like me than anyone else in the world! I'm very lucky to have them both.

| Dad, Francee, me, and Adam at Opa's |

|
This is my Dad and Francee during their last visit to Miami. Dad is a sporting goods rep and was recently elected
to serve on a board that represents other associates in this competitive arena. Among my favorites of his brands is
Saucony, which also sponsors the Challenged Athletes Foundation. When he isn't travelling the world, Dad likes to take
daily treks with Georgie, tend to his fish pond, and play on the river.
| My brother, Nick, and I |

|
This is my brother and best friend, Nick. The fact that we are so close and that he's much bigger than me, makes it
easy to forget he's my "little brother." He's a senior at the University of Louisville studying to be a Physical Education
and Health teacher with an emphasis in coaching. He will definitely be amazing at both jobs! Nick was a great source of
support during my road to Athens and the return trip to the real world! He definitely served as a role model for learning
how to become the best athlete you can be. I know he'll have the same influence on many more future athletes to come.
My Boyfriend, Adam
| Adam and I over Christmas break! |

Adam is working on his BS in recreational therapy at Florida International University. He also works
at Barnes and Nobles. He's been my outlet of stress, source of support, friendship, and partner in fun now for over
5 years!
